•Through outward responses
Lead the people to position themselves outwardly, showing outward signs of what is in the heart, or what is desired to be in the heart, having them 1) bow, 2) shout, 3) lift hands, 4) put their hand on their heart, 5) lie prostrate 6) or holding hands out in a receiving position. The only goal is that it is birthed from the heart and that it impacts the heart. This will keep it from being an empty show, or emotional frenzy. P.S. don't let the outward sign or lack of make you feel like a success or failure. Don't get frustrated at a non-responsive group. Always work on their heart and don't rebuke or demand worship from them out of pride or a low self-esteem.

•Through meditation
Lead the people to 1) believing, 2) remembering, 3) pondering, and 4) giving themselves to truth. As we believe the truths of scripture, character and attributes of God, all he has done, does, and will do, truths explode in our heart and releases affection for God in our spirit. Lead the people to meditate on these truths. Help them kick through the wall of believing lies about themselves or God. Lead them to interact with God for themselves. Have them meditate on a truth by singing or saying a phrase about God or scripture over and over. Spirit and truth is the hammer that breaks the lie. Meditating on the truth until it sinks into your heart, smashes the veil, and releases affection for God

•Practical connectors
There are certain musical, sound, lyrical, and logistical things that help connect the picky people that are worshipping in your group. You can't always please everyone but you should try to get as many blockades out of the way as possible. Things like 1) tuning, 2) setting the sound early enough to feel OK (whatever that means), 3) each member musically practiced and serving one another and working as a team, 4) memorize words and chords, 5) know what you are doing and where you are going, 6) all printed lyrics and chord charts are what you are singing and playing, and this list can go on and on. Don't bog down in the logistics just think ahead enough to know you did your best to remove blockades for all types of people.
